IRB Coordinator
Clayton Gillespie serves as an IRB Coordinator for Pearl IRB. He is passionate about helping principal investigators navigate the complex regulatory processes and achieve their goals in research. He brings over 10 years of research and research compliance experience to Pearl from his previous positions in academia and industry. Prior to his position here at Pearl, he spent 6 years as a research coordinator at a state university, concentrating on IRB, IACUC, and IBC compliance. Additionally, Clayton spent 2 years at a global food corporation tasked with conducting animal and market research to provide nutritional solutions to customers. This array of research compliance experience adds a breadth of knowledge to the Pearl IRB team and the clients we serve.
As IRB Coordinator, Mr. Gillespie is tasked with aiding investigators with IRB submissions, reviewing exempt submissions and rendering determinations, and facilitating the function of the IRB. He is also continuously reviewing IRB processes and procedures to increase efficiency, as well as ensure regulatory compliance. This commitment to continual review and improvement at the procedural level, helps Pearl IRB to provide quality regulatory services, with outstanding customer service.
