Gretchen Bowker, COO of Pearl Pathways, will be a member of the panel discussion at the IUPUI Innovation to Enterprise Summit on October 20th, 2011.  The subject of the summit is “Taking University Inventions to Market.” Gretchen will be sharing her experiences about the process of taking an drug or device idea and bringing it to fruition in the market.  Her experience in being a co-founder of Pearl IRB will allow her explain how the process of life science product development works and to share the struggles of a start-up business.  Gretchen has over 25 years of experience in the development of drugs, biologics and devices. With her wide variety of experiences from leading a biotech startup business to working at large pharmaceutical and device companies, she will be able to pass on the knowledge of working in different environments and taking that knowledge to start your own business.

The summit will be held at the IUPUI Campus Center and is sponsored by the IUPUI Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and IURTC.  The panel discussion is schedule to start at 3:00 pm and last roughly an hour.  For a full schedule of the day’s events as well as more information go to here.
