Michael Bailey, MS, CIP
IRB Systems & Quality Advisor
Mike Bailey serves as Pearl IRB’s Systems & Quality Advisor. In this role, Mike works closely with the IRB Chair, Associate Director of Business Development & Marketing, and Director of Clinical Services to answer initial client questions about Pearl IRB services and onboard new clients. In addition to working closely with clients, Mike also helps maintain the IRB online submission platform, Pearl IRB website, IRB quality management system, as well as other special projects as assigned.
Mike brings over 20 years of clinical research and IRB administration experience to Pearl Pathways, including at both independent/commercial and academic IRBs. Throughout his career Mike has worked for or with IRBs in some capacity, from membership, to consulting, to directing operations and policy decision-making, to making clinical research study submissions for IRB review on behalf of an international CRO.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Knox College and a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology from Western Illinois University, as well as a Professional Certificate in Clinical Research from the University of Cincinnati. Mike is also a PRIM&R Certified IRB Professional (CIP).
