Pearl IRB announces that Gretchen Miller Bowker has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer to lead the company’s ongoing commitment to accelerate life science product development.
Bowker, who co-founded Pearl IRB in 2009 and Pearl Pathways in 2010 alongside Diana Caldwell, served as Chief Operating Officer since the company’s formation. Caldwell served as President and CEO for Pearl Pathways and now runs her own consultancy practice focused on business planning, strategy, and operations for life science companies.
As COO, Bowker was instrumental in hiring and developing the talent of Pearl’s service delivery teams to ensure the continued growth of the company. As CEO, Bowker now oversees all business operations, including the management team responsible for regulatory and QA services, clinical research and IRB services, business development, and finance.
Nearing its 10th year of operation, Pearl Pathways has steadily grown year over year since its formation. The company employs 12 full-time talent with over 250 years of collective life science industry experience. Additionally, Pearl has a deep bench of 30 active consultant advisors each averaging 25 years of experience to support Pearl’s clients on a monthly basis. Pearl has served over 300 clients to date, from small pre-commercialization start-ups to global Fortune 500 companies.
