Vicki Miller, MD, MPH

Dr. Vicki Miller is a board-certified physician who has been performing clinical work for 22 years. Her career includes more than a decade of testing new medications and treatments as part of clinical trials. Dr. Miller’s passion for finding new treatments and cures shines through her work in research and public health.
After earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Baylor University, Dr. Miller went on to earn her MD from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and her Board Certification in Family Medicine at what is now the University of Texas Dell Medical School in Austin. After working in clinical practice in Austin for several years, she moved to Houston to study for her Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in Epidemiology/Disease Control from UT.
Dr. Miller has worked at the Texas Center for Drug Development, which now partners with DM Clinical Research where she also serves as a Principal Investigator, for a total of eight years. During her time with the research clinic, she has worked on studies for diseases and conditions from diabetes and heart disease to mental health disorders and COVID-19 vaccines. She also has experience as an investigator in Phase I human research trials for medications spanning numerous indications.
Dr. Miller has dedicated herself to public health pursuits. She worked on research evaluating the clinical effects of the West Nile virus, an emerging public health threat during her studies for her MPH). Her clinical experience includes serving as a clinician for community health centers and employee health among other positions.
Dr. Miller currently dedicates her efforts to clinical research for the purpose of improving patient’s lives. In addition to her work as an investigator in trials for new treatments, she serves as the Co-Chair for Pearl IRB.
